Who is this Training for?
This 5-day course is suitable for supervisors and managers with responsibility for lifting operations. This course will give you an understanding of the appointed person’s responsibilities and how to fulfil them.

What is involved?
To begin with, understanding the industry and its hazards is crucial. Then, you’ll delve into learning the responsibilities of a plant operator and getting to know the machine’s manufacturer handbook.
Following that, you’ll be identifying machine components and functions, and understanding steering, driving, and braking controls. Moreover, the course emphasises pre-operational checks as per guidelines, mounting and dismounting the machine safely, and starting and stopping the engine. Furthermore, you’ll practice manoeuvring the machine safely, conducting work area safety checks, and loading materials onto vehicles or plants. Additionally, attaching and detaching attachments, as well as loading and unloading procedures for transportation, are covered. Lastly, you’ll learn the end of shift and shut down procedures.

Thus, you’ll be well-prepared for the workplace. Moreover, our course concludes with the NPORS test. Consequently, if you pass, you’ll receive a recognised certification.
Successful candidates will be awarded an NPORS Operator Card, which remains valid for 5 years. It should be noted that if you require the NPORS/CSCS Card for the construction industry, you must possess a valid CITB HSE test.
Requirements
For learners applying for the NPORS CSCS Card, or for those requiring the ‘HS&E TESTED Logo’
displayed on their card they must have passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment
Test within the last 2 years.
